Photos of Freshwater Pearl Clam

Yesterday, when we are taking photos of some beautiful freshwater pearl accessories, one of the local pearl farm owners called us. He spoke with a usual smile on his face(we can hear that), “I have brought a clam out from my farm. Would you like to come and take some pictures?” So we went to his house with a camera and took some photos.

Here it is, the freshwater pearl clam with black shell.

You can see the freshwater pearls in oval shape, with pink overtone.

It takes about 2 – 3 years to produce pearls that meet gemological requirements for most freshwater pearl clams.
